Method: The entire comic was left encased in the mylar bag so no adhesive would have to touch the comic. The customer had the great idea of mimicking the leopard print bikini and supplied the fabric which we hand wrapped over a bevel cut mat. The lipstick red frame perfectly completed the fun look of this piece.
Method: The unique tone of this piece called for an equally unique frame. The deep red silk wrapped mat adds to the texture of the composition without distracting from it while the wavy black frame adds the serious touch of whimsy that Godzilla deserves.
Framed Item: Photorealistic Charcoal Drawing by Dan Pyle
Framed Item: Color Photograph by Bill Aron
Method: With the composition of this drawing the artist was inspired to offset the image within the mat. This adds a dramatic and creative effect that would not be found if this image was simply centered in the frame.
Method: This is framed in a standard gallery format with an archival white mat and deep black metal frame. This particular piece calls for the notch cut on the side of the mat so none of the image gets lost but we keep the integrity of the spacing.
Framed Item: Abstractly painted cast of pregnant woman's belly
Framed Item: Road Trip painting
Method: This is one of the more eccentric pieces that we've framed. Her husband wanted to do something really special and a bit fun. We left the piece exposed so as not to diminish the texture of the work.
Method: This impressive painting needed to be done on a budget for a show presentation. We combined two closeout frames for a very effective result. We carry a large selection of discounted wood frames which allows us to accommodate almost everyone's pocketbook.
Framed Item: Louis Vitton luggage print - limited ed.
Framed Item: Painting on paper by Gary Frederick Brown
Method: In order to get the corners to match, this ball frame needs to be cut to a specific size and then the art made to fit. We floated this piece and it worked beautifully. The style is ideal for the image.
Method: A darker background and matching frame make this piece really pop. This type of color combo doesn't always work but can be quite dramatic when it does.
Framed Item: Chinese Embroidery
Method: The frame is very similar in tone to the silk that borders the artwork. This monochromatic treatment enhances the elegance of the piece while allowing the embroidery to stand out. The slight wrinkling in the silk border is inherent in the materials and is expected in a piece like this.
Framed Item: Skeleton with Hat print
Method: The double mat works well here as does the classic frame. It is a unique juxtaposition between traditional and modern that adds character to this funky piece.
